I know this is all in fun but when are people going to understand that it's not the bow, it's the shooter! This is mostly in regards to Bownut's post. Once again, I know this is all in fun........

That is correct to a point. There are some bows that just may not shoot well for some people. Be it the grip, the draw or whatever else. But I thing all of the top manufactures make bows that a good shooter could win a tournament or hunt very well with. They all make great bows but Hoyt bows ROCK! LOL

That was my point. I think it's funny how people jump on the band-wagon (not implying anyone specific) because the bow wins the latest tournament. Lo-and-behold, the next year, the other manufacturer picks up the shooter and he shoots just as well. Hmmmmmmm..............

You're right, it's personal preference.

Why is the 34 below the 37? Speed? Other than a little bit slower, the 34 is much more preffered amongst shooters and hunters. As far as the "experts" go, I wonder which manufacturer gave them more free merchandise for advertisement. Maybe there's no need to wonder. Don't get me wrong, I've shot the XT quite a bit and it's a nice bow. Haven't shot the Trykon but have picked it up. That was enough to put it back down. The Tribute was nice as well. I'm also trying to figure out the need to test 135 bows and list them in order from best to worst!!!!

I was just blowing smoke. The AR is a great bow I'm sure. I don't think my Oneida placement is too far from the truth though? I shot one several times about 12 yrs ago. I seem to remember smooth draw, heavy bow, and extremely loud!

HAHAHAHA!!! I'm tellin ya that AR is a sweet bow! Smooth for sure! Andy was sitting in his tree about 120 yards away and he only heard me shoot once out of 6 times and it was dead quite in that snow.

Anyway, Mike that is hilarious you put Oneida on there..... BWAHAHAHAHA!!! The Oneida Strike Eagle was the smoothest bow for me. The draw was dang nice and it was way quite too. Killed two coues bucks with it shooting instinctive! I shot almost as well as my friends with all the bells and whistles at all the 3-D tournaments we'd go to. It's all about the shooter! You could take a 25 year old compound and kill crap all the time if you knew it's limits as well as yours. Hopefully next time I shoot a buck (this weekend) it'll be a nice clean kill. Got some new arrows and new broadheads so I should be good to go!

Did not come from me! I would have Bowtech on top before I would ever have put Mathews on top above a Hoyt!

I can not wait until they do it with the "07" bows. I'm sure they will pick the worst Hoyt they make to give the others a chance. WAIT!! Hoyt does not make a worst they all are better then the rest!

This guy I know that was the first of two to receive the Kaibab Award from the Bowhunting in Arizona Record Book shot a bow between 107 and 130 lbs. When it went off it sounded like a gun going off and you could hear it a quarter mile away, he killed most everything there was to kill pretty much. I have never used string silencers after understanding this phenomenon.

You know I wonder about claims like this, I have read from Mathews and Martin very similar claims, " We win 95% of all tournaments in the last year" How many friggin tourneys are there? 658% of all tournaments are won by any of the top bows. I personally shoot a Mathews and have owned 5 or 6 of them so I know that I contribute to the problem, but I would like to know how they come to their certain conclusions.
