hunter1026 Report post Posted November 7, 2014 My dad's buck from this year shot at 398 yard with a 64gr nosler binder bullet pass through and the deer went less than 20 yards
Zeke-BE Report post Posted November 7, 2014 Somebody just posted almost about the same thing a couple weeks ago. I was surprised how many people smoked a deer with it. I wouldn't personally but that's me. My uncle took out a cow elk with a 22-250. Right shot placement it will do the job. You got to remember there are literally tens of thousand of Bad Guys in this world who are no longer breathing thanks to the .223 and human beings are bigger and heavier then couse.
MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted November 7, 2014 I know it will kill and I shoot this bolt .223 lights out at 200 yrds like seriously dime size group at 200 by my 243 is a close second. Main thing is my .223 fits in my scabard. Lol. I don't know for sure I am leaning 243 by I may end up posting a .223 monster coues down next week.

trphyhntr Report post Posted November 7, 2014 Some dudes use .243 for elk. .223 for coues, why not they're like the size of a large jack rabbit.
Edge Report post Posted November 7, 2014 Trphyhntr, interesting you should say that, thought my Coues was a jackalope. Mike you can use my scabbard for a few more breakfast burritos. Or get a manly work out and lug my .06 w/ Machine Gun Kelly mag around the hills.

I think anyone that's kicked up a small coues deer before has instantly thought it was a jack rabbit at least a few times.
Edge Report post Posted November 7, 2014 Me and Mike came across a 3 legged jack a couple weeks ago, his days are few.

WampusCat Report post Posted November 7, 2014 A 75gr Hornady BTHP leaving the muzzle at 2850 fps from a .223 worked just fine on this one when it connected on the other side of the canyon a couple years ago.
MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted November 7, 2014 Nice. I think that's the first deer pick I've seen with an ar platform.
