Saw this picture last night browsing FB.......whether it is real or not it looks pretty dang painful.

Cole and I were arguing over how this could have happened....I say overdraw with the arrow coming off the rest!!!!

Be safe out there..........

Also with these carbon arrows you need to flex them. They can blow up on release. A guy I know had that happen last year at the Sunrise shoot.

Had one blow up on me a few years ago. The string, which was almost new, popped at full draw. My bow limbs went flying and the arrow shattered into more pieces than I could find. I was lucky. Lots of small cuts on my arms and face from the bits of carbon fiber. But fortunately I had glasses on. Messed up my glasses, but they protected my eye.

Ouch. Looks like a bad overdraw combined with poor hand position. I dont see carbon fibers poking out olaces at least.Seems no one taught the right things to that guy.

My uncle did a similar thing. It involved a few too many beers and accidentally picking up his grandson's arrow which was an inch shorter than his. He pulled back and flung the arrow and shot himself through the hand just like that. We still give him crap over it.

OUCH is right makes you cringe looking at it .. Brings back memories of chasing down my brother as kids and getting a deflected wooden arrow through the meat between thumb and index finger ....
