the first section all but bigfoot dont exist, the rest have some potentially scary stuff. But in all truth the famed bigfoot, or big wooley as i call him is a dosile creature and a heck of a hunter. He just dont like botherin with the road huntin crowd, get out there and yall may run into him some day stalkin up a big ole bear.

Go watch "Fire in the Sky", then go out in the woods at night!

Alien's/UFO's is the only "paranormal" crap the freaks me out!

Other people freak me out.

I always have the means with me to stop a moderate threat (handgun, or rifle, or both!) But it doesnt put my heart to 100% rest at all. I always keep my eyes peeled for the unknown.

I think a lot of people fear the unknown, but while saying that the true unknown is other people.

Either you believe or don't believe in strange phenomena, if you don't it don't other bother you and if you do it probably interests you so it lessens the fears. Nature is unknown to a point, lightning is random, but if you take certain precautions you are relatively safe even during a storm. Others are unpredictable, but if you use common sense again you are relatively safe. With people you just don't know, a nut is a nut, a killer is a killer, but they are still people and can look just like anyone else. When I have my kids in the car, unless I deem the situation an emergency I ain't stopping to help anyone. It is a little different while hunting, most people stop and talk to someone holding a weapon in plain sight and in camo's, same situation in town and you call the police and avoid the nut case.

Another bad thing is if you catch the drug addict stealing from you and do any more than call the police, you are treated as a criminal, you ALMOST can't protect your own property.

Take Ted Bundy for example... College educated, law student... yet one of the most prolific murderes this country has ever known!

+1 to KGAINES comment. I have worked in the woods and hills all my life. I know about all of the natural hazards and respect them, and how to take the appropriate precautions around them. The things that are scary are the people that are not out legally hunting, the trucks stashed in the brush and the waterlines in the middle of nowhere that do not go to a livestock trough. At times we have had to have law enforcement escort in order to do our work because of the people hazards.

All joking aside, my biggest fear and concern is the whacko's. The southern units 29-36's are getting pretty bad in alot of ways as far as personal safety. I do not put in for these units except as 3-5 choices, my favorite is along way from here and very remote and the only thing I have to worry about up there is the occasional "slob hunter". But as far as I am away from the roads I very rarely ever even see anyone.

I like solitude. But in the units and areas that are closer to civilization the worse things are going to be, especially in times of economic hardship, where some people who are already mentally or financially unstable (immigrant's and smugglers included) that will do crazy things.

You forgot JASON VOORHEES from FRIDAY THE 13th,

I swear he was stalking me one night in the CHiricahuas while I sat a tank. I was walking out and knew he was behind me with his big machete! I went into run like he!! mode and ran right past my two hunting buddies who were sitting on a rock by the main road waiting for me!! Did not help that I had just watched the movie and was 16! PS-- I think he is still there!! ag

I had a funny thing happen growing up with the La Chusa, since I had no idea what my friends seen or believed, when they yelled and took off, I had no fear, we seen an owl, they spent hours trying to convince me to be afraid of the La Chusa.

Without belief in it there is no fear until proof, most fears are built as kids, either reading, watching on tv, or with stories passed down, or simply with parental threats. The true monsters in this world are the child molesters, rapist, and murderers that can be your neighbor, it can be man or woman, young or old, educated or not, at least if you really seen bigfoot you would know what it was, people might not believe you, but you would know, with the human monsters it takes being caught before there is proof of what they are, and even then they get a trial and a chance.
