I was helping my brother in law work on a cabin in Lake City, Colorado this weekend! He was doing most of the work I was just a gopher!

Found this treasure under the cabin!

I’m not a drinker so not sure what year this would be dated?

That would be my guess also. It was from a time when no one would put a tranny on a can of beer, that's for sure. It was early to mid 70's when Coors had that two button push on their cans, before that it was just a pull tab, and before that it was with a can opener like the above can.

Neat finds are everywhere. While digging a water line last week, unearthed this medicine bottle.  Has the Owen's Glass Co hallmark and a 1920 manufacture date.

Found at an old hidden mining camp. It was wedged into a rock protected crevice. Im guessing about 100 years old and held about 1/2 gallon.

While tearing down a fireplace and chimney, I found lots of old news papers from the late 30's and up to 1941. It was common to use the paper for insulation.  Best article I saw was titled "Television could be the next big thing" .  Of course the adds for stores and prices really interested my Children.  

We had two houses near south mountain that were built between 1937 and 1943.  the cement block was made on site.  If you've ever been to Fat man Pass on south mountain. That was my next door neighbor.  of course today we would call it morbidly obese persons pass. 

Still have a lot of those papers.

Last week while raking behind the old 1899 hotel on US60, I found these early Vietnam Era dog tags. 

Thanks to the internet,  minutes later, found this.

It's true. I ve used Ancestry. Com, I believe they are owned by the LDS. If H. Jarvis is mentioned in a public family tree I'll have names.
