Dylan Mulvany is more of a woman than that is a mule deer.

Definitely a Cowes deer, if it was prettier it would be a Coues deer. I like the way you got everyone interested in the buck thow.

I want to add my experience with deer and overgrown hooves.

In my case it was a muley buck that was harvested in the desert units that border farmland. (alfalfa)

The buck killed had all of his hooves overgrown and they, along with his antlers, had a greenish tint to them.

The conclusion was he lived life high-on-the-hog sleeping along the salt cedars that bordered the fields.

He would take sandy washes during his commute to get groceries every night.  Fat deer too.

This is spot on and what I was going to mention and ask about. Mainly see it in sandy washes and high protein diet habitats.
