Went over to NM and got the OTC turkey tags... gobblers everywhere! Set up a hen decoy and called this Tom in on a string from the top of a ridge. Shot him at 25 yds. 10.5 " beard.

Honestly blown away that you set up a decoy and called it in. Seems I find one in the tree, they land, leave with their bitches pay me no never mind. I gotta go with someone who knows what they’re doing or I’ll have to keep road hunting

His spurs are small, about 1/2" each side... probably a 2 year old bird...

1/2" spurs 10.5" beard, I would think its a 3 year old. Either way there is nothing wrong with a 2 year old. I love 2 year old birds, easy to call in easy to kill. Only a pound or two lighter than older birds. I love it when I see lots of Jake's in one area because I know it will be a hot spot for two year olds the next year.
