Gunsmith for after market muzzle brake

Recommended Posts

I have a Tikka t3x superlite that needs taming. Looking for recommendations for a smith to thread and install a brake. This is on a stainless barrel and would like it blended into the oem taper and a cap furnished. The barrel at the muzzle measures .635 and is a .277 bore. Let me know who you recommend.

Thanks,

Bill

Keith @ Phx Custom Rifles cut and threaded 2 Tikka barrels for me last week.  Price was reasonable and he had them ready in less than a week.  Crowns and threads looked great and everything threaded up nice and easy.

Also Aark Machine on the west side can do that. Have Brakes on hand.

Axisworks has done 4 for i think now. Good work, and he has his own line of custom brakes that are very effective.

I have one of Eric's self timing brakes and agree that it works very well without completely abusing the shooter...

Don't be a savage and install a muzzle break.  Just buy a suppressor.  Recoil AND sound reduction.  The slower recoil pulse is also noticeable.

For muzzle threading, ive used Axisworks with great results.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Now I need to find one somewhat close and not slammed with work.

I appreciate those that took time to answer. CWT always comes thru.

Didn't know Tim did that.  I've had him coat some things.  Good work.
