Adicted Report post Posted October 2 IMG_1024.mov IMG_1024.mov IMG_1024.mov IMG_1024.mov Well when I was north my buddies house is infested with prairie dogs. We had 2 gamo pellet guns and we hit maybe 1-30 shots. Well one night after chasing elk we had some whiskey (lot) and somehow got into Airguns shooting prairie dogs. Well I ordered one. Let’s fast forward a week. I ordered a gangster pellet gun. Well we just got it and killed 9 dogs in 2 hours. Now we r hooked. Brought it home and pumped it out cause loud as shot. Now has a suppressor on and we have the right pellets. Those dogs r screwed. Here is tonight and taking back north. Oh yeah we r elk hunting also.

Oh wait, that's the elusive two legged blonde elk. 🤣 Eddie

I deleted it but turns out that was likely the one you wanted kept to the post. Meanwhile, it won't let me edit the 'text' to take the 5 out, but when you click on them it is a dead end. Unfortunately, not sure what else I can do.

Adicted Report post Posted October 5 Well guys tough hunt. I’m sure everyone thinks of archery bull u think of rut, calling, lots of elk and chances. Well not this one. Been tough but we know the unit well so we are still getting chances. Up at 345 am looking for bugles for 2 hours and not one. Frustrating. We head to our glassing knob and run into a herd leaving a field. No giant bulls but I have both my sons with me and if I can make another memory with both I will try. We get in front of the herd and boom perfect. I see them coming but slightly different angle. We move up about 100 yds and fuk!!!!!! Herd cow was way ahead of them in a cedar tree and busted. They run out. Crap. There was 3 smaller hulls that u never know might have shot. Head back to cabin and guess what. Prairie dog time with the new pellet gun. Took out another 5 and took a nap. Evening hunt. Glass a herd 3 miles away. We head out there and park about 1/2 mile away. Wind was my big concern but there was just no way around them. Decent 6 bull with 30 Cows. We get about 500 yds away and notice they are acting weird. We sit still and I swear they winded us at 400 yds. They gone. Back at it tomorrow. No good video just them running away. Adicted Report post Posted Monday at 02:54 AM Well guys. Today was first day I didn’t put a stalk on. Tried different parts of u it to see if any rut and dang 3am -6 am not 1 bugle. Things r tough. Went back to glassing and glassed up that nice 5 but chit. 2 sets of hunters already chasing. There’s a big pocket of elk but about 8-10 hunters all doing same. Not much of the unit to glass so everyone is where I am to find and spot and stalk. Just hope last few days some how they get horny. Just not here at all. Talk to u guys tomorrow
Adicted Report post Posted Tuesday at 03:37 AM dang I’m tired but sticking too it. I’m sure u guys by now know where im hunting and there is just no full rut at all. Making this so tough. It’s pretty much a glass and get in front of game. I’m so close but just can’t seal it. These elk r is where private property is and just elude me. I glassed that big 5 again and knew I had a great chance. Got 100 and my spotter said he just got up and pushed his cows out of nowhere. I was 150 the whole time but he just kept moving. I played the wind perfect. Not 1 bugle in the whole time with hIm. Pretty frustrated and tired but dang I’m close. Must not be a rut here this year. Last year they were screaming for hours daily. Oh well back at it. 3E148733-FEE5-46A7-AC07-5B48D0164B36.mov
Chef Report post Posted Tuesday at 03:49 AM Keep at it. It only takes a 30-second window to make things happen, and those windows come up by surprise sometimes!

I would sit on water until it was very dark and get there at dark in the morning. After the sun came up I would walk the water just to find green droppings. It sucked.
