Looking at a new set of tires and don’t want to pay $2k+ for another set of bfg ATs, so I’m looking at some cheaper options. Truck is a Silverado 1500 that drives about 5k miles per year as a weekend driver and hunting vehicle. Light towing with a small trailer or boat, no serious off roading, but will be on a lot of dirt roads in both northern and southern Az. Just wondering if anyone has experience with Kenda or RBP brand tires. I’ve never heard of RBP until a couple days ago, but I like the looks and the right up (and the price), but not sure of the quality and durability. Tire size is 35/1250/20 and prices are pre-tax, free shipping and does not include mounting or balancing. Let me know if you have experience with either the RBp or Kenda. Thanks.

I am in the same boat as you are almost the same truck. I believe I have settled on some Copper at from Walmart the set is around 750 plus install. Looking at the reviews most of the bad one I see where do th the Walmart shop employees not knowing how to balance a tire. I typically buy big o Bigfoot and like them but at 1500 a set I just can't justify it

These are more expensive but I love them. They are also only sold at Discount. Cooper ATP II. Nice tread, LRE, and about the height youre looking for. 275/65R20. I use my discount card for 0% financing. I run these tires on my 21 and 23 F150, and on my 10 F150 (different size and on its 2nd set). I also run the AT3 version on my Excursion. They are excellent tires.

I've been running Kenda Klever 35" m/t for the last 3 years on my Raptor.  Lots of off-road use and trips down to the valley. They wore really good for a pretty long time, then once they started wearing, they wore quick. I did have some bad tie rod ends, so they did cup pretty good in front. No problems with chunking or flats. Going to replace in next couple months.

I've ran Kenda tires on dirt bikes and quads for many years and have had great luck with them.

I buy my tires from a guy name Alan by Deer Valley Airport.

OEM tires mounted on factory wheels.  Usually under $800. I have several sets of matching aluminum wheels for each truck

Don't exclude Mickey Thompson's. I bought some for my Toyota pickup and I'm very happy with them price was pretty decent too I understand they're not heavy duty tires for the Toyota but I think it was about $1,200 out the door mounted with certificates from discount

Thats the reason for this post, to see if anyone’s had good luck with the off brand tires. I don’t mind paying for quality, just don’t want to pay for a name. In the past I’ve had Nittos that got tore up on 1 coues hunt, toyos that only lasted about 25k miles, good and bad sets of pathfinders, good luck with Bfg all terrains. Just looking for other options.

I'm in the same boat with my truck. It's a ram 2500 6.7  and it doesn't seem  to make a big difference  on brand . I've had Bridgestone, Michellen, bfg ,and toyo and if I get 20k miles it's a blessing it seems.  Had nitto on for a few months  but they were to noisy.  At over 2 k a set it's expensive. No issues  with  alignment  or anything . Just seem  to wear them out .  Ive been told its a heavy diesel and its normal .Put a set of Cooper at3 on my jeep about  the same time as the bfg on the truck  and the bfg are going  to need changing  again  . The cooper  still  look good . Hard to really  compare  as the truck weight  is much more.

I’ve had good luck with the cooper discoverer at3 on my work truck- f350, 2WD utility bed carrying a pretty good amount of weight. No off roading, but they last about 45-50k.

Ran into a guy at the archery range today that had Kanati trail hog at. He said they were his second set with about 20k miles and he was pretty high on them. Said he’s been on a lot of backroads and they still looked great. About $1000 for the set at Walmart.
