I heard one on Sunday when I was fishing at Apache but haven't seen one yet. It's been warmer than usual.

I've had them in and around my house and picture rocks, Tucson for about 2 weeks if not longer than that.

Early?

About when I used to see them when I lived in Glendale. My old friend in Sun City had some back in early March.

I quit hunting dove as I got tired of eating them.

Used to make a pate with saltines.

:P

My favorite thing to hunt. Maybe because of the fun times with good friends making memories. We were able to hunt a dairy for about five years and each year a new face would join the group.

Once nice thing about the dairy were all the Euraisans. One year a buddy shot 100 in a day, before noon with a little unsoliceted prodding.

Never did a pate. Usually make them into taco's or poppers. A friend makes them into jerky which is really really good.

When I bird hunted I was famous for my 35 dove stew at deer camp every year. Crock-Pot, bone and shred the meat up ahead of time, make a big pot of it with all the stuff. Excellent. Rip some bread....oh ya.

I had bird dogs pretty much my entire life and my buddies. I'm done with that and quit hurting dove, quail and pheasants. It's not the same with out dogs, that's the best part of it.

I was just thinking it seems like the last couple of yrs I’ve noticed more all winter. Used to be unusual to see them but maybe I’m just noticing them now.
