Alaska Bear & Deer Pics

Recommended Posts

After 3 days of hard hunting and climbing, and not seeing any bucks, I shot this small meat buck so I could get on with my bear hunt. It's not a biggin', but he tastes great and it's was a really fun and educational hunt.

Some scenery from the top of the mountains. 2-3 hour climb from the base to the top.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Congratulations on your deer and bear. Sounds like you had a fun and interesting hunt! I haven't been to Alaska yet, so I am very envious of you and enjoy hearing the stories and seeing the pics.

Congrats on a double!

Is that the large badlands pack? How do you like the large opening top? I just bought the 2200 last week.

Yep, that's a Badlands Stealth. It's great for a daypack. Holds a lot of stuff and has a strap on the outside for holding a bow, but I use it to secure my tripod.

Great pictures and what a great sounding hunt. The weather looked like it cooperated with you, it can get really nasty. When I went a few years back to Kodiak Island, it was late November and it was really rough weather. Arent the deer really nice looking with the double throat patch.........thanks again for sharing your great hunt...........AT........
