well,I ended up killin the buck in picture number one on the last day i was able to hunt before going back to work. Glassed hard for 3 and a half days and only saw one deer better but was to far and disappered over a ridge like they will do. Last year passed bucks the whole hunt and didnt get a chance to shoot one,so i didnt want to not shoot one this year too. thanks for the comments. Time to go elk hunting!

neat that you found him earlier in the year and then were able to put a tag on him.

looks like a 2x3 with a slightly interested Shih tzu?

2x3 with an extra sticker at his base on left side you cant see and a vary un-manily pekingese! He likes deer though!

Congratulations on the pics AND the buck! Could it be possible that it's a different buck you shot? There are some very similar characteristics but a couple that look different. Might just be the angle of the kill photo compared to the trail cam.

-In the kill photo his left G1 looks like it curves left. In the trail cam it appears to curve right.

-His right G2 in on the trail cam seems to curve in (to the left) and also seems to be longer. The kill photo looks as if the G2 goes straight up and shorter.

Don't take this as me down playing either one. Could easily be the angle of the photos. Both are great bucks! Just something I noticed. Congrats again....

I think you could be right. The more i look at them the more i think i might be mistaken. I dont know how much a deer can change in two or three weeks at the end of horn growth? From were the pictures were taken to were i found this buck is only two ridges apart. Maybe just same genetics? Thanks for your post
