Antler Crafts

Recommended Posts

In an effort to relieve some of the pangs that have been haunting this site I decided to share some of my latest ventures working with antlers.

It is antler season and I can't wait for spring break and a chance to go lookin.

Night Lights

I just wanted to say thank you to Nontypical because he donated several of those antler crafts as prizes in our coues buck contest. I posted some pics of them on the prize page. It's great art and I thought it was really cool that he made me a Christmas ornament with the outline of the buck from the back of the CW.com longsleeve tshirts...very cool!! You are very talented my friend!

Those little nightlites are very nice and so are the bolo ties! Since I have held some in my hand I know the quality is good and I encourage any of you interested to buy some from him. I attached a few pics of the items he donated.

First off it all started when I had an abundance of antler bases cross my path.

I am sitting there thinking I gotta be able to make something out of those bases.

Anyway, I use a scroll saw with a circular cut blade. Dirll a small hole to give me access to make my cutout.

Then I do any dremel tool work I think I can get away with without busting things up.

Use some two part epoxy to put things back together.

Not bragging but they really look alot better in real life than they do in my bad pictures.

I try to sell them on ebay but ebay seems like a black hole and they really don't get exposed to people who might have interest in that type of stuff.

I have done several special orders from people who had ideas they would like to try. I am always open for ideas.

I have most everything I have tried posted on facebook, just look up nontypicalsolutions and there are pictures there.

I am trying to get a good pile accumulated for the 24th of July celebration up here. I told my son Cole he could set up a booth and sell them to raise money for his wrestling camp.

I ordered a couple night lights a while back. I called NT up and told him my 2 year old son loved BUZZ Lightyear and asked what can you do? Could not be happier.

Then so as not to leave my little girl out I told NT my little girl needed a night light now. I think it's cool. My wife thinks it is cute. I have a hard time associating cute with antlers (seems to girly) but anyway here is my girls night light.
