Roosevelt Crappie

Recommended Posts

We hit Roosevelt today looking to catch some crappies. Fishing was a little slow but we still did alright. Fish were caught trolling in the salt end. Pretty nice day with a little breeze. Water is really chocolate with a lot of debris in the water. Here are a couple pics of some of the fish we caught today.

Good looking fish. I haven't been crappie fishing in quite a few years, but some of the best fun I have had was crappie fishing.

Right on. Headed to Bartlett in a few weeks to fill my freezer with some crappie slabs. Glad to see the bite might be starting to warm up.

Nice catch! Is the boat ramp at school house in the water yet?

No it's not. Grapevine just did open up.

Water temp was 59-60. Just trolling 1/16 oz grubs tipped with minnows.
