A hearty congrats. That is one fine animal and you should be very proud of him.

Nelson and I had not seen this buck hard horned before. We spent plenty of time in the area and there were a few sheds found, but nothing great. I usually don't hunt opening weekend to give them time to grow, but I easily made the exception for Toad. He blew up in the two weeks prior beyond wildest dreams. I wish we had history with this buck, but we do not.

I hadn't been able to get on the forum for a couple of days and I was eagerly awaiting opening up the bow hunting section to see any early success stories and pictures.....oh my I had no idea what I had to see!

Congratulations on a true Dream Buck, Toad, Stud, Monster, what ever you'd like to call him. I call him perfect! Way to go and get it done in a huge way. Not sure how you were able to keep your composure with that beast inside shooting distance but obviously you were. Fantastic!
