Nice birds Coues, love watching a big drake pintail work the decoys. Almost time to head up to location X and hammer some birds.

My name is Jim and I have waterfowl addiction.

I have been very blessed when it comes to what has visited my spread here in AZ. Like mentioned above I was lucky enough to shoot an old squaw a couple years ago. Was able to see him 2 days in a row before harvesting him. Was jumping up and down like a kid.

Dream hunt of mine is to visit PNW/AK to shoot Eiders, Harlis, Barrows, Scoters, and another old squaw. That won't be happening anytime soon though. Another bird at the top of my want list is Euro wigeon.

As far as birds go that are still on my hit list that I have a chance at in AZ are storm wigeon, wood duck, mature redhead, mature BWT, mature lesser scaup, and a few others. Heck I eventually would love at least a mature drake of each species mounted. Saw a stud of a storm wigeon the other day on a golf course in Scottsdale. Gave me a sliver of hope haha.

We've shot almost everything here including all those I listed, they just either haven't been mature enough or I wasn't the shooter. That's what I love about AZ, you get a huge variety of birds. I'll see if I can find photos of most of the cool birds we've shot.

I may have a slight problem as well...

Its hard to pick an absolute most prized but I'd lean towards the late season Cinnamon or Bull Canvasbacks.

Prime Shoveler and Can from a few years back. The boot lips usually get a pass except late season when they're dressed to impress.

Such a treat when they skirt the dekes

Near the top for prized is the Mexican. Sadly, I lost this bird to a faulty freezer.

Someone always forgets to tell these AZ Goldeneye that they aren't puddlers.

A stud Widgeon is always a prize too.
