Moving grass

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to issuing. Game camera and I always seem to get a ton of moving grass pictures with no animals in them. Anyway to avoid that other than not setting up where there is grass. There was seems to be at least a little wind where I hunt

Clear the grass for the first 30 to 40 feet in front of the camera. Set the camera at least 5ft high if possible and point in downward.

I use red mineral salt that I get from a feed store think it comes in a 50lb bag. If you don't see rain in the forecast bring a few gallons of water to add on top. Don't worry as much as mixing the water with the salt just add some dirt ontop of your salt and the water away.

i have found gasoline and a lighter work great. Be liberal with the gas.

Seriously though I try to angle my cams like mentioned above. Its less work and attracts less unwanted attention. Put your photo capture on the slowest setting too.

Liquid mineral works pretty well. And this year I might try a plot watcher- climb a tree and angle it down.

Less chance of it getting stolen.
