He didn't smuggle that BAR home by any chance?

You didn't have to smuggle them back then. Just put it in your duffle bag.

Yeah I remember seeing them for sale in pawn shops as a kid.

WWII Vets brought back lots of stuff, Samauri swords, grease guns etc. Most of if not all of my neighbors had them and more when I was growing up. Dad had a 7x57 he bought for $35 and "sporterized".

People had a better understanding of guns in the 50's and 60's before they were evil. We never had a gun cabinet or safe. Guns and such were in the closet in my parents bedroom.

Hints, man hints

Built by a well known US maker for the national matches at Camp Perry.

I think it's a Smith and Wesson. Straight Line??? I don't know if that's the name. I remember hearing about it 25 years ago. Single shot Match pistol. It's supposed to be real nice. How did you get it?

Tac,

That's a Browning SA 22. It's a good semi auto for left handed shooters.

No you guys have missed on all those guesses I'll give a hint Remington and year that rifle was produced was 1949

It sure looks like a browning sa22 probably shares the same design as a lot of guns have.
