HAHA, what a great country we live in.... we debate college athletics and try to explain the superiority of two Universities located less than 200 miles apart.

Just want all the ASU fudderduds to know this is all in good fun.

Here is the truth as I see it;

Until U of A gets to a Rose Bowl or wins the Pac 12 in football, ASU will always have that over UA. Without the Rose Bowl, ASU would have SLIM bragging rights over UA in football Both football programs have never been a perennial contender and are average at best.

Until ASU gets to a Final 4 in basketball - UA will always have that over ASU. UA clearly has the superior basketball program for decades, the gap between the schools isn't even close. Hurely has given the ASU fans some hope.

Baseball in seasonal- seems like one school is good / great then average, but we are splitting hairs.

The rest of the sports.... no one really cares (Sundevil you follow all college athletics which is cool, but the overwhelming majority of people don't... and really don't care about any other sport outside football and basketball... baseball is a distant 3rd.

Good luck to both schools in the final week of conference play... and in the NCAA. It would be awesome if both schools did well in the NCAA and played in the Final 4.

Redman, you are the one that brought up National Championships! There is no "truth in how I see it". The truth is the truth and the facts are the facts, ASU has won 24 Natl Championships and U of Pay has only won 18. Regarding this subject that you brought up there is nothing more to debate.

Meanwhile in Seattle, ASU womens basketball upset #10 Oregon State to advance to the semifinals (U of Pay flew home after their season ended on Thursday)

Red, thank you for clarifying. Maybe next time you can be more specific. "sports that nobody cares about'? WOW that statement shows your true colors. I am sure those sports mean a lot to the people that have trained their entire lives to participate in them and train all year long on them. What about their families and friends? Do you think they do not care about them? Doubt it. Truth is there are probably more people that care about those athletes than care about the big, bad, tough REDMAN!

Dustin, sorry BUDDY but you are wrong. That was two games ago and the game before that they beat Long Beach State 1 - 0 to split the series. in their last baseball game they BEAT Okalahoma State 9 - 1. Please try to get your facts straight BEFORE you join the conversation.

FORKS UP!!!

Hey "That Guy" the overwhelming, majority of people (in the United States) DON'T CARE about the sports you love to pound your chest about.... you sticking to your guns just shows you are "That Guy"....

There is NO DOUBT those sports in which the overwhelming, majority of people (in the United States) DON'T CARE about - DO MATTER and DO MEAN a lot to the amazing athletes, families, coaches that participate, HOWEVER outside of athletes, friends, families and past athletes the circle gets REAL small.

The facts are the overwhelming, majority of people don't care about college sports (in the United States) other than men's football and basketball- just look at the attendance, network programing (and the ratings when these sports do air) sports websites, and major papers.
