Does anyone have or has anyone ever used Vixen bino's? A co-worker has a pair and says they are really bright and loves them for the price but I have never heard of them. Just curious if they are as good as he claims they are.

After a ton of deliberating, I've decided that I want to go a different direction with my hunting optics. These are great optics for Arizona. Light enough to go handheld, bright and strong enough to glass off a tripod. I had a pair that got ruined on a hunt (entirely my fault) also in 2010 and Pentax replaced with a brand new set. These have only been out of the case a few times. Excellent condition. No scratches on the lenses or coatings. The worst piece of advice I ever got in hunting optics was: “Buy as much optic as you can afford”. I believed the first, but followed the second. The result was ownership of several different pairs of binos over the years. Taking a loss each time I upgraded, but never really knowing what I was missing out on. About eight years ago, I finally bought this pair of used Swaro 10x42 WB SLC’s . The first time I took them out scouting, I remember thinking: “man, I should have bought these years ago”. All that time and money wasted on inferior optics thinking they would get me by until I could afford something better. Do yourself a favor – buy the best. If you can’t afford it yet, then don’t compromise. Save your money until you can step up to something worth having. There are lots of good optics out there and looking through glass can be very subjective. And yet, there is a general consensus that when it comes to binos, Swarovski and Leica are at the top of the heap. The Victory line of Zeiss could also be included as well. Well, here is your chance to step up to a great piece of glass. This is a pair of Swarovski 10x42 WB SLC’s. I have used these for the past eight years. About four years ago, they were completely reconditioned by Swarovski. You get everything you see in the pictures: The binos, orig. shoulder carry strap, the orig. case, Swaro literature and pin, and the box. The binos are in excellent shape, with the exception of one small (about 3% of area) rub mark on the finish of the objective lens in the right barrel. I didn’t even notice it until I started to clean them up. You can’t detect it when looking through the binos, but I felt it was worth mentioning. I tried to show this in one of the pictures. Body is in excellent shape with no rips, tears, etc. in armor. I will also throw in my Butler Creek bino harness as well. Binos are priced at $850. Up for sale is a gently used Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40mm MC Scope. Both the objective and eyepiece lenses are in pristine condition with no marring, scratches, scrapes, etc. of any kind. The scope reticle is a medium cross hair that reduces to a fine cross hair in the center of the field (ideal for low light conditions). The matte black 1" body has no dents, dings or scratches of any kind. No visible "ghost rings" where ring mounts were placed. Both turrets track as they should and the eyepiece allows for complete focus. You can hardly tell this scope has been used. If interested please call, text or email at 602-361-7191. Asking $375. It's a long shot but someone out there has got to have a son/daughter that wants to be a rockstar and drive mom and dad crazy or just simply can't let go of that child hood dream to be like Tommy Lee. I was in Cabellas the other day, and saw a new thingy. At the time, I had a new thingy already in my hand(chrony) and could not afford 2 new thingys for the week. I think it is made by Meopta, but it attaches your iphone to your spotting scope/rifle scope/binolulars and I suppose you can take high rez pics and vids? anyone have this new thingy yet?

Weatherby Vanguard SUB MOA ( same as the new range certified, not to be confused with the new S2.) chambered in .257 Weatherby Mag. has a Bell and Carlson aluminum bedded stock, Black and grey spider web. Leupold base and 30mm rings that have been lapped and a Huskemaw 5-20x50 scope. I still have the two free certificates for custom turrets, to go along with the scope. I have purchased a used Hornady reloading die but haven't used it. As I never bought a reloader. I have some factory ammo to throw in as well. I have only fired factory Hornady ammo through this rifle. I will separate the scope and rifle for the right price. I can send you better pictures if interested. I currently have the scope mounted to the rifle but in the pictures it is not. I am selling a Leupold VX3 8.5-25x50 LR Target Scope. Very little use. It was on a .22-250 as a paper puncher. The rifle it was on was barely shot. Beautiful scope. Has the side focus and tall target turrets. It also has the Alumina Flip Up Covers. New from the store you are looking at $1100+ for this set up. I've still got a few sets of binoculars, and a video camera, free for the taking. The Pentax binos are spoken for, assuming they are picked up.

I found what seems to be a really good deal on a tripod/pistol grip combo. Its a ravelli 70" tripod with a vertical ball pivot pistol grip for $90 new. The suggested retail is supposedly $399. Anyone have any input on ravelli? The price looks almost too good to be true.

Very lightly used Gitzo 1276M Magnesium ballhead. This is a very smooth head. This is Gitzo's off-center style allowing for greater/easier articulation compared to a standard vertical ballhead. This is a very nice head that is easily operated with one hand thanks to the large single locking/friction control knob. Weighs 1.25 lbs and has an 11.0 lbs rating. The quick release plate engages the lock automatically when the camera is inserted, and has a secondary safety latch to prevent accidental release of the camera. This mechanism is easy to operate and does exactly what it should. This is the prior model to the current GH2750QR ballhead. It retailed new for about $250. I bought this head in a combo deal and really only wanted the legs for my Big Eyes and triclawps... the head is okay for this aplication but has too much adjustent for me actually.
