Dinner tonight.  Grilled NY strip with a chimichurri sauce, roasted asparagus spears and garlic mashed potatoes with a brown mushroom gravy!

No, just store bought.  Maybe one day I will get around to doing that.  Need avocado trees too!

Ha, I wish, all my fish (bluefin, yellowfin tuna and yellowtail) is stuff I catch and eat.  My lunch was pizza hut pan pizza, wings and half a pack of oreo cookies.

Labor day bbq, 3 baby back ribs and a pork belly on the smoker!

Came out great!  Had homemade scalloped potatoes and corn on the cob, with some tastey Kern River IPAs!!!!

Was going to post this over in the 'Green Chili' thread but figured I would put it here instead.   One of my favorite times of the year is late August - early September because I can take advantage of my favorite two New Mexican exports; Pronghorn and green chilis!!! ;)

Picked-up a big sack of extra hot Hatch chilis from my local Food City and went to work over the weekend roasting them up and putting them to use.  Ended-up with 24 8oz jars of green chilis and 12-quart jars of 'green chili' (find the debate on the other thread).  Some of the green chili was made with pork and some with pronghorn.  Both excelllent! 216733655_grillingchilis.jpg.25412b619743c9765b0a814ff3ab0da9.jpg1992428812_grillingchilis2.jpg.6e139402249a4f05789e09d4744ce0e6.jpgcanning.jpg.33e256e942f34bf70709c343d3b06d1f.jpg1024029669_greenchilis.jpg.06aa95f2726893f85bf5b6197051d380.jpg1167477564_cannedgreenchilis.jpg.1b49956963b54d0180a8dfcb0f9cb06f.jpg

Birthday dinner and desert.  Momma made me "carne en su yugo" (meat in its own juices). Cook bacon and steak cut up with beans, tomatillos, peppers cilantro etc. Very very good and unique flavor, I highly recommend you try it.  Never had it until trying it at Taco giro here in SV

Desert was pf Chang's banana spring rolls with fruit and vanilla ice cream
