Pesto sous vide chicken.

Excellent - my 2 favorties, pesto anything and sous vide.  I was going to play around next week with ziplock bag and a steak in a pot of water at home.

Enjoy the meal!

All honesty….. I tried to use the sous vide to heat up turkey carcass’s enough to pluck. I dropped my sous vide in the ice chest of hot water and fried it. So….. this sous vide was in a pot with a vac bag. Hoping to do better next time

Watermelon, scrambled egg sandwich, pitcher of kilt lifter. Use your imagination

Recently cut into a watermelon we bought at Safeway and it was yellow. Apparently that’s a thing now. Best watermelon I’ve ever had.

I have also had them in orange but there is not a huge difference in taste. Orange and yellow have more beta caratine. It may have more to do with our hot dry climate for them not showing up much here as they are usually don't get shipped too far from where they are grown.

On the east end of Long Island the land is very fertile and that area also gets a lot of rain (40"-50+" a year) so there are lots of farms and also vineyards. Most farms have roadside stands or small stores and different varieties of watermelons have been very popular since as long as I can remember and most aren't much bigger than a soccer ball. Back in the 50's and 60's there were corn and potato fields everywhere.

I wouldn’t say candy but definitely different than red ones.
