Some more desert ducks

Recommended Posts

The pup gets better and better every time. I was curious how she was going to do. She's a little thin and it was cold. Air temp was about 30°, yet she swam out and retrieved four ducks for me no problem. A little planning of her rout and off she goes! Finally got my first mallards of the season, and a scotch double on spoonies.

Are you just tank hopping? I did that a couple of times in southern NM way back in the day and it was a blast.......but I didn't have a dog to fetch......fun times!

Yeah. I've decoyed a little bit with buddies but never been super successful, and never with her.

Gotta keep the dog working! It aint every day that you see an Airedale swimming after ducks in 40* water. She loves working, but does prefer to retrieve doves on the dry ground 🤣
