Wild heritage taxidermy

He never recovered from his father dying, his daughter getting hurt, and his personal problems. Now a broken man with a wife trying to cover for him. Hopefully someday he can work through the problems, because he had amazing skill and tons of knowledge of mtn lions. Doubt there is any possibility of a refund. You either have to get cape and skull or talk them into finishing work. Both methods have worked for people I know and both took a ridiculous about of effort and visits to property. In the cases it worked the people involved kept their cool and explained the importance to them the mount getting finished as part of their hunt.

Or he’s spending more time running dogs than doing taxidermy.

he did a euro for me that took 6months to complete. That was enough for me

Sounds like Ol' Dry ground Dale needs a couple visits.  Disgusting that he is getting away with being a scum bag and posting about his new adventures.

I follow this guy on Instagram... he's a houndsman, a good houndsman... not a taxidermist. Ed F

He literally has an entire section of his shop with awards from taxidermy competitions. First time I was at his shop he had newly finished mounts of basically every species in AZ. All done better than 99% of the shops. He used to do taxidermy work at least 300 days a year. First time I met him he didn't even know how to use the computer to check in work. So way before Instagram was a thing.

I should have clarified... I know nothing about him other than his Instagram page. He hunts a lot and is very successful. Maybe the taxidermy side will pick up when lion season closes. Ed F

Seems like a lot of people have deposits and trophy’s there that he won’t finish for him not to be a taxidermist

In order for him to be a taxidermist... he has to be doing taxidermy work. My comment was meant to be satire. Ed F

My Dad  had Michael Scott of Superstition Creations in Mesa do  the same thing. Similar to this. He took in a bear ,my lion and a big black coati mundi from my Dad and a 6x6 Muley. My Dad has hunted and fished with him for 45 years and considered him his best friend. Then when Dad got sick and We lost Grandma. Dad didn't have any contact with Michael for about 6 months. Then Dad contacted Him. Just to bed told  that Michaels freezer went out and he threw all my Dad's trophies away. Dad has never spoken to him since. Dad promised him a butt kicking. But he is a wuss and always hides. Last year Dad drove up to area nine during rifle season looking for him. Good thing Dad didn't find him. Dad would have probably shot him and left him laying. I really hope for Michaels sake Dad don't ever catches him out. 😳

If you have a receipt you can’t get law enforcement involved?

He probably has in small print on receipt, work left at owners risk.

I have given up on our cat being mounted.  I’ve given up on our 2500 dollars all I hope for now is to get the hide and we can start over.

I’ve never understood why 95% of taxidermists turn into scumbags. Honest question, are there any good, reputable taxidermists left in AZ? I’ve heard Weller’s is. I always thought Mogollon was the best of the best but i’ve heard their turnaround has about tripled. I had to rescue my best coues from a taxidermist that had them for 3 years and never mounted. I’d like to take it to someone who can be trusted
