cohntr6 Report post Posted June 18 Well, my wife let me know we had a $300 charge today and wondered why it was so much compared to the $45 charge. LOL. Ever since then I have been high as a kite (figure of speech people) and super distracted at work. It will be a long few days to see the results in the portal and find out if it was my 11 year old son, my wife or myself that drew. From that I can say it will be unit 28 or 31/32 that one of us drew. Our point totals range from 2, 15, and 20 respectively. Anyone else?!! Jeff 9
Lucafu1 Report post Posted June 18 Nice! I took the rest of the day off when I drew my sheep tag in 2016. Before I left I put in my leave for all of December lmao. I drew 31/32 also. LMK if I can help in any way. I know things have changed quite a bit on the east end of Arivaipa since i was last out there. Congrats!
cohntr6 Report post Posted June 18 Thanks! Some of my friends have advised me to consider going out on FMLA for November or December lol. I'll definitely contact you if we drew 31/32. Thanks again.

Jeff Well if that ain't durn excitin' 😀 Not sure if sheep tags are different than elk tags, but if you chose an etag, it will be loaded in the AZ G&F app before it hits the web portal. Only a few days sooner, but sooner is better than later when you're gnawing at the bit to know. Keep us all posted as it'll be fun to hear about your sheep hunt. Good luck, Eddie
Flatlander Report post Posted June 18 Either of those is an exceptional hunt. If it’s in the cards, I would recommend hiring some help. Both of those units can be tricky. What we learned last year was that judging sheep was much tougher than I expected. But man what a journey it was. So many memories. After my son’s hunt last year I thought it would be a lifetime before we got to experience it again. But, somehow lightning struck twice. Someone in the family drew again this year!

azsugarbear Report post Posted June 18 I finally drew a sheep tag with 33 points. To give that some perspective: even with 33 points, I still had less than a 5% chance of getting drawn for any of the 'second tier' sheep units. I'm not sure which hunt I drew, but it will be either 41 West or 41 East. Will have to wait until the results are posted to know for sure. 10

cohntr6 Report post Posted June 19 Thanks and congratulations to the others that drew! EddieLV- I've checked my wife and my e-tag apps and nothing so far. I'll keep at it or just wait. LOL. I don't have one set up for my son. I'll certainly keep you all updated. Flatlander- It is in the cards and actually my wife and I talked about an outfitter tonight. LOL. We'll probably try to do it ourselves with help from friends and family. I live in Safford so I have no excuse to do lots of scouting whichever hunt we draw.
