It's a kimber mountain ascent in 280ai topped with a lightweight swaro shooting 168VLD and 168 accubonds. Shoots great and with a magic muzzle break I feel the recoil is less than some of my 30-06s. I worked with it on the range out to 600yds and set my hunting limit at 500. I am not a good at wind doping. With the CA 300PRC I could put 4 of 5 into a 8" plate at 600yrds when the winds were tolerable, thusĀ Ā the 500yrd limitĀ on an animal. I took a 5x5 at a 357yds. Just a poke for long range hunters and the 300PRC but for an East Coast deer slayer where most shots are under 100yds it felt long š Ā Ā Ā I already booked my secondĀ Elk hunt for this coming Oct in NM.
