Best seat/chair/stool glassing

Recommended Posts

Ok I'm in the market for a sturdy lightweight 240lb capacity (I'm under the 240 pounds) chair/seat/stool that I can use for Glassing or Predator hunting. Like it to be at lest 12" off the ground.

What is everyone using??? Any good chairs out there? I really like the tripod stools but the plastic piece in the middle the holds it together always breaks on me.

a few yrs ago I got one from Dicks, it had a tripod style chair that was pretty sweet. Had a back & cup holder. Its probably still somewhere in 23

This won't meet your 12 inch requirement, but I have switched over to using a z lite thermarest foam pad that folds up quickly. Fold it out in half and you have a nice big seat that is 3 to 4 inches thick. It also doubles as a nice alternative to the ground in you get sleepy and want to watch the back of your eyelids under a tree for a few.

I like the double bull 3 legged stool with the back support. Plus I carry a butt pad and put it on the seat for extra padding.

I don't know if you can get them anymore but I have a Jim White glassing seat. It unzips and has a nice back support that you can adjust.

Check out the Roll-a-Chair >>> 4-legs and has back support you can use (or not - it flips over). VERY sturdy and comfortable sitting height for longer glassing sessions ,,,
