AZLance Report post Posted September 13, 2015 Brandon, if you don't mind me asking what did the tag cost you and then how much more did you spend to get this beast? And are you mounting it in velvet or having it stripped?
Coues D Report post Posted September 13, 2015 I paid the most for a Governors Coues tag ever paid, It's public info. I'm going to mount this beautiful animal the way it was killed, in velvet ( Life size).... Ironically I paid 13k more than Shane's buck (2nd action tag), and it scored 13" longer lol.....
Coues D Report post Posted September 13, 2015 I've been told if scored typical (and stripped) which I won't do, it "could" go world record. I don't care about though. I believe the animal deserves to be what he was when he was killed. I thanked that buck for giving his life to me after I shot him. It was a personal moment.

Coues Sniper Report post Posted September 14, 2015 Funny how many think their opinion actually matters, just because they can see it on a website. Glad to see this thread finally turning back to what it should be - admiration of an incredible Coues deer. Brandon, thanks for voicing your side of the story and helping to quell the nonsense. Congrats again on an amazing buck.

I would love to see this beast in all it's glory. Anyone else just feel inadequate when looking at it?? I am just trying to top my 51" buck. haha

MattMan Report post Posted September 15, 2015 I have killed on my own (5 bucks from 105-141)... After working hard my entire life I'm now in a position to buy the governors tags for the next 10 YEARS!... Thank you to my wife Jackie McDermott who bought me this tag... Thanks that is my 141" Mark Boulanger (Bo) helped me kill... ....Brandon McDermott First of all, congrats for being the guy lucky enough to pull the trigger on one heck of a huge Coues. It's truly a buck of several lifetimes. Now that that's out of the way, pardon me for being slightly confused. Maybe I'm just ignorant, but it's easy to misinterpret people, especially on the internet. Do you have enough to buy the auction tag for the next ten years, or does Jackie? And exactly which bucks did you kill on your own? Is this one of them? - http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/21912-115-muzzleloader-buck/ I've killed a couple bucks on my own, and know what goes into doing that. I want to make sure you get credit where credit is due, and that the haters shut up and move on.
