Recommended Posts

To weird, I was scouting in 6a first part of September and saw a bull just like this. Except he was in velvet. HUM Could It Be??

I remember thinking he was going to have a hard time feeding.

Nice!

My first bull was very similar to this one. The horn was wore down at nose length.

The same unit in 1991, the Unicorn gene is strong in this unit.

saw 2 bulls in 5BN about 10 years ago with same configuration, they posed for me broadside at 20 yds while I sat there with a cow tag in my pocket, I sure wanted to take one of them home with me

This bull is also from 5BN in 2010. Also with a right antler/pedicle issue like your dads.

Does everyone think this is just a genetic flaw in that area or something was damaged during birth/ life?

Or maybe it's just something that can show up in any elk herd and not just this particular area. I know There's lots of funky bulls out there and they aren't all from 5BN. Thought it was odd that both these Bulls have an issue on the right side though and from the same Unit.
