Here is my 12B buck from a few years ago, its my biggest buck to date.

Very respectable buck. My son and I have that tag this year and will be doing our best to scout and learn the area before the hunt.

Good buck and Good Luck!!!

Good, have them send the dinks (8x8's 6x6, 4x4's) our way. LOL

Two of my buddies finally drew it...after 12 or 13 years of waiting... They are SOOOO Stoked! There will be an all-star cast of hunters in their camp and it will be "Big or Nothing"... Hope I get to go up for the first few days to help out...and I hope it is Colder than a Well Digger's Arse!!!

I can't imagine waiting that long for a tag. I have been vey fortunate and have been drawn for the Kaibab 3 out of the 4 times I put in over the last 30 years.

I agree, the colder the better and two feet of snow on the plateau the week before would be sweet but we all know that isn't going to happen.

JUst wish I put down 12A for 1st choice instead of 12BW. What the heck was I thinking? LOL

I like 12B West better then 12A, I have a better time on the hunt, there is a lot more places to go to get away from others. I went in 12B West last year with a friend and took a 182 inch 3 point, great buck, he actually just got it back and the mount looks great. My buck ended up going just under 185 and I was supper happy with him, could not pass him up, but I did see a few bucks that were bigger scouting right before the season. Got on them a few times just never got a shot. Great times up there, I drew a 13B tag this year so I hope I can make it count!!

Sorry Jim, no big boy pics from me in the muley dept.

OK, just wanted to throw this one out to you. This buck was taken last year on a 13B rifle hunt. The hunter was Tony Keller from Kingman. We assisted on the hunt. One of the most unusual bucks I've ever seen. I guessed him at 34 wide when I videotaped him and it turned out he was exactly that! Has so many drops who can count 'em? Only thing he was missing was a set of....testicles! And from what we found, he never, ever had them. Just a great, young stag.

This is why I have 13 bonus points and want just ONE MORE 13B tag.. Then I promise I will be a desert deer hunter after that and leave all the premium Strip tags to others!

My buddy Todd and I bagged these 2 28" bruisers last year in the Beach Mountains north of Van Horn, TX. My 338 RUM 200 gr handloads knocked this buck off his feet at 268 yards, and he never got up. I am starting to get the fever again now, with the hunt still a month away  :D

Her are a couple pics of our first ever Mule Deer we took on the second day of firearm season 2012. They came in together to a watering hole where we had been patiently waiting together in our ground blind all morning. We dropped them both in their tracks with our Savage 300 Win Mag. We feel very blessed. Thanks for letting us share them with you.
