218buck Report post Posted February 2, 2018 We were able to get out this afternoon for a quick hunt as luck would have it we glassed up a herd and the stock was on. We cut the distance to 150 yards were I was informed I was making to much noise and would have to stay behind. I actually enjoyed staying back I got to watch her sneak in on the herd she was constantly checking the wind and using her range finder. when she was just about inside her shooting lane of 20 yards one of the pigs must of heard her because it walked around the tree she was behind trying to figure out what was there. She kept calm and did not move it finally went back to the herd, I was a nervous wreck. She worked her way around the tree and I saw her pull back her bow and shoot she turned towards me and gave me a thumbs up. She had had made a perfect shot the pig ran down the hill about a 100 yards and fell over. I was so proud of her she has killed many pigs with a rifle and was determined to get one with her bow. She has been practicing a lot and it all paid off I love the times we get to spend together in the outdoors I hope she keeps letting me hang out with her, they grow up so fast. I am going to take it to the taxidermist in the morning it will be a reminder of one of my coolest days hunting ever 14 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
