Just get cameras you can monitor yourself I know a guy that runs a security company and according to him because I honestly have no idea a lot of the diy ones that run through your internet have China ties and send your information there. Not that I'd be all that worried about it just passing that along. But since we're on the topic if anybody knows of a system that automatically uploads to the internet or doesn't I'd like to find one that I can install myself that will automatically call the cops if an alarm is triggered.. You will probably need a monitoring company for notifications who will either notify the PD or the FD.

You are probably right, figured probably some existed on a diy level but maybe not. I learned the hard way with an ex employee.
twigsnapper Report post Posted Tuesday at 01:58 PM We use Ring and Simpli Safe. Both are good. Started with simpli safe, then tried ring on subsequent properties. I’d go with Ring because their cameras are better. Both systems work good and are easy to install. We have monitoring with both companies and both work as they should. ADT is way over priced.

ADT = Always Done Twice. At least that's how other companies in the industry refer to them.
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted Tuesday at 03:10 PM I’ve had Wyze cams for almost 5 years now and like them. They’ll last a few years then die out but cheap to replace.
Tony Nile Report post Posted Tuesday at 11:31 PM We've had Simply Safe sensors on all our doors and windows for a few years, $20/month for monitoring. Don't remember the startup costs. No complaints. If the alarm goes off, I get a text. If the systems isn't reset in 30 seconds PD gets called (which is fairly worthless in Phoenix) I also have almost every square inch of my property under video surveillance which I can view remotely.
