Nice they are gong in their own with a few days left. I got word my bulls started yesterday as well. I’ll be up there Tuesday to see for myself.
sjvcon Report post Posted September 22 5BN has not been overly kind on Rut activity. We've seen Bulls everyday...but not responding. You have to go get them. We've been close to taking shots, but something always derails it....my boy is frustrated but determined to keep pushing until dark on Thursday.

WHT_MTNMAN Report post Posted September 22 21 hours ago, trphyhntr said: Why do you guys think the rifle/muzzy hunts will be better? Is the rut picking up intensity, Or you thinking it’s been so bad eventually it must pick up? I don't think it will be a real crazy rut during rifle and muzzy, but on a year with a great Sept rut it slows down immensely during muzzy and rifle. This year it won't slow down as much as normal it should just stay consistent longer. Also last year was a pretty bad drought and rut year and I'm seeing a bunch of calves that are only a couple weeks -month old. It seems like many of the cows in my neck of the woods didn't get bred until Oct or Nov last year.

First they give up location and second if a bull hangs up at 150yds with a muzzy or rifle in your hands completely different story than a bow.

My Rights As An American Report post Posted September 23 2 hours ago, CatfishKev said: There must be one in there he's trying to keep people from. He has 2 people with him who look like they cannot walk a quarter mile without dying. He really screwed up a couple of our hunts. We are far enough off road but he was taking closed roads way back in, stopping his utv and blasting away on the bugle. Making such a racket for a mile in any direction. We watched elk run away from bugles this past week.
BOHNTR Report post Posted September 23 They’re beginning to really crank it up by my place at night and first hour or so in the am. I guess just in time for the muzzy hunt that starts Friday. 2
nateNAU Report post Posted September 23 Found a stud all by himself this morning. An old bull with a broken back leg. Looks like an old wound and not from an archer. When I got home I realized I photographed this bull last year less than a mile away. 7 1
