4b early archery bull

You’re forgetting the number 1 rule about forebee.  You don’t talk about forebee.  The best unit in the state needs to stay under the radar.
I honestly love that unit.  There’s elk in pretty much the entire unit, higher density in the south half for sure.  I love hunting the ponderosas personally.  They thin them enough you can cruise alongside a herd from 200 yards out and get in front of em.

The north half is now a giant windfarm and expanding.

the activity of the bulls can vary widely in the unit. we hunted an area for the first 3 days very few bugles - maybe one bugle a morning. Drove to the other side of the unit, bulls sounding off in every direction. Hunt where the bulls are sounding off.

Not sure the forest thinning is still happening but it cooked us two years in a row.  Scout the summer and note the direction it's headed... they could be in the exact area you wanted to hunt...and all you can hear is beep, beep, and cutting - sure the elk are still around, but so noisy-

Chevlon is always loaded with bulls, find a trail to get down and have help getting it out

Can't tell if this is for real but if so, take the hoochie mama and throw it out your window ASAP

It’s about as real as me drawing a coveted 37a early rifle bull tag!

What about that 23a Nov hunt? That's a special one.

im thinking if i can hunt right on the border of 4b and 23a I should be able to pull in a couple big power line bulls.

i probably shouldn't be giving away all my plans online though.....
