Haven't been in a bar in Globe since the Sunset burned down. The shamrock is still there though. Best advice... stay out of bars in Globe.

Haven't had a drink in quite awhile, so haven't had a reason to be in any bars, but I was passing through Claypool one winters am about three or four years ago, and this rather large size Native American male was dancing outside of the Shamrock, my bet is that there has been a vat of blood spilled on that floor.

We spent most of the winter down in Tonto Basin fishing Rosey, had an absolute blast at Butcher Hook! They had really good live bands (mostly country) every Friday and Saturday. Not sure what their summer schedule is but definitely worth checking out! We stayed at the rv park right next door, easy walking (errrr stumbling) distance.

I second the vote for Butcher Hook! Very nice and fun people. They used to always have a fish fry on Fridays which was great! It can be challenging to get on the water early after a night at the Hook. Or so I've heard.
