What kind of track is this?

Recommended Posts

Found this track by a waterhole, seems too big to be a coyote but I don't know a whole lot about predator tracks.

+1 for coyote. Its in the mud so it will look bigger than it really is.

I wondered if it might be a bobcat, and that makes more sense to me really. I could see a coyote track being elongated in mud but this track was really wide. I put a cam up on a trail leading to the water. Hopefully it'll give some clues to what may have made this track. It's just so close to my house its hard not to go check it! I just put it out yesterday and I already want to go see what's on it!

k9.... bobacts walk with their claws retracted... sometimes you see marks in mud but not as pronounced as those... Either coyote or a domestic dog
