Big Browns Report post Posted August 14, 2016 Adam, what choke are you using for doves in your 28 ga.? It depends on how close they are flying, but most of the time I use Cylinder & Modified chokes.
DesertBull Report post Posted August 14, 2016 It's a really fun hunt but I can't choke them down anymore so quit shooting them. Yes, I've tried every known method of cooking known to man and it taste like I'm chewing on a galvanized nail.

azruger Report post Posted August 16, 2016 Was out yesterday and looked very promising for opening day. Dry conditions in the future will hopefully congregate the birds to the ponds I will be hunting. Taking the kids and wife this year to try their hand at Good ol arizona wing shooting.

muledeerarea33? Report post Posted August 23, 2016 Watch those Tucson ponds azruger. There can be 20 guys tryin to hunt one pond. Be careful or move in if it's not safe. First come first served doesn't apply for dove hunting near the city.
savagman Report post Posted August 25, 2016 Amazing how ignorant some people can be. I got to my spot before dawn and had people set up way too close to me after I arrived. After being peppered several times I moved away to a lesser location only to have more guys move in on me. After looking into several barrels as they swung on low fliers, I gave up and went home. Not worth losing an eye over. I sit out opening weekend. May try Thursday though. Maybe most guys are working???
