• PISTOL

  18 U.S.C., § 921(A)(29) and 27 CFR § 478.11

  The term “Pistol” means a weapon originally designed, made, and intended to fire a projectile (bullet) from one or more barrels when held in one hand, and having:

  • a chamber(s) as an integral part(s) of, or permanently aligned with, the bore(s);
  • and a short stock designed to be gripped by one hand at an angle to and extending below the line of the bore(s).

• SHORT BARRELED SHOTGUN

  The term "short-barreled shotgun" means a shotgun having one or more barrels less than eighteen inches in length and any weapon made from a shotgun (whether by alteration, modification, or otherwise) if such weapon as modified has an overall length of less than twenty-six inches.

• RIFLE

  § 5845(c) — The term “Rifle” means a weapon designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder, and designed or redesigned and made or remade to use the energy of the explosive in a fixed metallic cartridge to fire only a single projectile through a rifled bore for each single pull of the trigger.

• AOW

  An AOW as defined as "any weapon or device capable of being concealed on the person from which a shot can be discharged through the energy of an explosive," other than a handgun with a rifled barrel". This umbrella definition includes many improvised firearms ("zip guns") and disguised firearms. Potential examples of AOW’s would be smoothbore firearms (shotguns) with a barrel less than 18”, a pistol grip, no stock and an overall length less than 26”, or, a pistol less than 26” in OAL with a vertical fore grip installed..

• FIREARM

  The GCA defines the term “firearm” as: (A) any weapon (including a starter gun) which will or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive; (B) the frame or receiver of any such weapon; (C) any firearm muffler or firearm silencer; or (D) any destructive device.

• HOW OAL IS MEASURED

  The Overall Length, or OAL, of an AR pistol is measured from the muzzle (less any removable muzzle devices) to the rear of the receiver extension (buffer tube) with the brace removed. For AR pistols with a folding hinge attached, OAL is measured from the muzzle to the rear of the folding adapter in the folded (shortest) configuration. For pistols that do not require a receiver extension to function (non-AR), OAL is measured from the muzzle (less any removable muzzle devices) to the rear of the receiver.

• SHORT BARRELED RIFLE

  An SBR is legally defined as a rifle with a barrel shorter than 16 inches, or an overall length of less than 26 inches. Pursuing that route requires registering the rifle as a Title II weapon (often referred to as an NFA weapon) under the National Firearms Act (NFA) and paying an excise tax.

• HOW LOP IS MEASURED

  Length of Pull, or LOP, is the straight line distance measured from the middle of the face of the trigger to the end of the gun’s stock or brace in it’s longest configuration. The ATF has advised that a braced pistol with an LOP in excess of 13.5” may constitute a re-design of the host pistol and subject the pistol to restrictions under the National Firearms Act.

I went back and found it.  its on page 112 of the 2019 regs also.

I'm hoping the G@F depts across the country are revisiting both muzzleloader regulations (1000 yard mls now) and handgun hunts.  I'm assuming success rates have increased dramatically in both the last 5 years or so for all species.  Not exactly as primitive as they once were.

It’s a brace, not a shoulder stock. Let’s not give any more ammo for another ban.

BB thats my all time favorite handgun. I liek them much better than my old T/C's probably because it holds bigger rifle rounds with out going custom and the left hand bolt which I thought would be a pain in the butt is super nice.

who did the custom barrel job for you?

Dele, I'm not sure who did the work as I bought the gun with the work already done.  I'm sure any competent gun Smith could do the work.
