lunch today, cod livornese, is a sauce made with garlic, anchovies, black olives, capers and fresh tomatoes.

capers and olives are from a friend that lives in Capri.

Charcoal grilled elk back straps, molasses baked Brussels sprouts and broccoli, black beans.

The Meater kinda let me down. Said 203 was "fall off the bone" pulled at 201. Delish, but not fall off the bone. Which is ok, I like mine with a touch of chew required. They were fantastic on the smoker. Put the sauce on about 30 minutes before they reached temp. Sticky and gooey. Amazing.

i work in a restaurant, i order the veal there and i prepare at home, we do that dish at the restaurant also.

A little out of the ordinary but Mama made some sukiyaki. I think it's a fish sauce and beef based Japanese soup.  Hard to pinpoint any one flavor when eating it.  I recommend you guys try it sometime.  1000006107.thumb.jpg.9b12d0275fffb604c54eac366f670e19.jpg
