Super sad. Never go to the hills without being armed. I have never had any time to need it, but my wife and I had a weird encounter 1 night camping, and we got really weirded out and left ASAP in the middle of the night.

What happened?

Lots of old mines back in there. As for Kohberger, I'd be living out the remainder of my life in the big house if it had been one of my kids and go to bed with a smile on my face and not loose a wink of sleep.

I'd make him suffer. Death by a thousand cuts would seem merciful to him.

as for  Kohberger is good what he got, he won't live long in jail with the brothers. is like death sentence but suffer.

Okay, this is a DM story I linked HERE but there is some info that is new to me and makes this an even crazier story if true.

Hopefully he's not a patsy, sure they said dna on gloves etc.

Makes me think of a story a guy that worked for me told me.  He went out hunting near San Pedro (years  and years ago) and found a depression that looked like a grave that had sunk in and looked like a body was possibly underneath.  On his way back to the truck he saw something sparkly under a bush.  It ended up being a sheriff badge from Pinellas county Florida.  I asked why not report it, well he was a felon and did time. He was worried him "helping" would end up him being the culprit.  He also mentioned telling the story to a former Leo and showed him the badge and a week later the dude said he wanted nothing to do with it.  This story has affected me over the years and I considered writing an anonymous letter to the sheriff's there but always left me wondering what the downside would be and I never did.  I felt for the potential family of this person but also wondered why a Florida badge would be found near the border in AZ.  My main thought was the guy was likely involved in some stuff that could get him killed ( dirty cop, running or selling drugs etc) which was ultimately my deciding factor in not bringing it up.

We did go out one time looking for the grave and could not find it, I don't know if that was because he didn't really want to find it or not, or maybe the badge was fake and the story bs,  but I did see the badge myself fwiw.  I also did not get the vibe that he was insincere.  I'm only mentioning it publicly at this point cuz last I heard the dude fell back into drugs and was living homeless up in the valley and at this point it's gotta be like 20 years since I originally heard the story.

All that to say, is it possible this guy is a patsy because he offered help and was low hanging fruit.  Probably not but makes you wonder...

That’s intake in booking at the Maricopa County Jail, not a police station. Everything has been taken from him, he just hasn’t changed clothes yet. He’s
