PRDATR Report post Posted August 15 We probably had rain for a couple of hours early this morning about 1AM in Mesa. I'll take it. But then it always seems to start raining two weeks before Dove season.

I gotta think it’s gonna be better next year or the year after We're a month away from the beginning of fall up there and probably three weeks from full containment. Precipitation really won't happen until later this month and into September which will push greenup, but deer are browsers. The Forest Service may not open it up, even with pressure from hunters with the potential for more deadfalls/blowdowns and the lingering possibilities of such. With any moisture, the feed will be better, not to mention better glassing due to the burn. Who knows where the fire and fire crews pushed deer to as of now.
