I just saw this too.

The hunting will be good next year if they get any precipitation in the coming spring.

We need a good solid heavy rain up there.

The whole State needs this. Last year sucked for rain and so does this year. Bark Beetles  are going to decimate the forests.

Watch Duty - Wildfire Maps & Alerts

This Watch Duty gives a pretty good map.   If you set the overlay to 'satellite', you can see the scar from the last big burn many years ago.  Looks like the fire had a hard time advancing through the jungle of small aspen trees. ;)

Saw some green spots up there on this morning's weather report.  Hopefully finally getting some precipitation.

They were so kind as to open up the White Sage fire area to hunting.  Going to Game and Fish tomorrow to turn in my 12A archery tag.  Try again next year or the year after.

Maybe all the deer moved from the east to the west and it’s loaded

As of right now, only that area north of 89 is open.  Most of the unit and the 67 are closed.  You can't even get to where I want to hunt.  Guess I should have made my reasoning more clear.  I drew in the bonus round and had Pointguard.  I will just go another year when there are no fire issues and I know I can get to where i want to hunt.
