He surely can't shoot.

Homeboy had sights on his shotgun.  I knew he wasn’t gonna get one the second I saw that.

If you shoot them on the ground near the decoys, it helps avoid hitting the decoys.  That also tells you the decoys are great quality.  :D

The decoys I have are $120 apiece.  If someone shoots them their invite goes away in a hurry 😂.  Short of juvenile birds, or an occasional day where the sun is just right, they’re smart enough where they don’t usually land in the decoys too often.  It’s insane how good they can see.  Even up here in ND they are so smart and wary.   I guess that’s why I love hunting them so much.

I hear there were few young birds and that is why hunting was so difficult this year.  Flights had slowed and I just needed one more bird to get the first limit.  I am not too proud to ground sluice.  I remember crawling along the ground below everyone's feet in the blind to the end and sneaking out.  I had changed to a super full turkey choke just for the occasion.  This rather small bird was hanging out just outside the large decoy spread -- lonely or wounded, I guess.  Well, it worked.  I love ribeye of the sky.  It was indeed the only one that landed in or near the decoy spread.  The flights started up again and everyone got a limit, even my partner who had trouble with his gun, so he borrowed the guide's gun.

I mean in that guy's defense with as far away as those birds were didn't matter who or what was shooting those suckers weren't going to get hit. heck I don't even know if shot will go 250 yards straight up in the air! I doubt it will

I love my tascos,   the foginess helps me kill smaller animals which are so much more tender.
