Rancher Showdown

Recommended Posts

Googled that up and got this.

"The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) website (www.blm.gov) and all associated websites/pages are currently unavailable due to planned maintenance on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 starting at 8:00 PM Mountain Time until approximately Midnight Mountain Time. The total outage time should be no more than 4 hours."

Maybe they are planning the raid during this time.

/>you pay it because thats what the original agreement was. If you don't abide by the original agreement, then what do you have left to stand on?

He shot himself in the foot by not paying.

From what I understand he had an agreement with Clark Co Nevada. When the fed came in and took over and overegulated it, that's when he stopped paying. His agreement was with the State of NV. He has said many times that he would be happy to pay grazing fees to Clark Co, but refuses to give money to the BLM.

It looks like the head of the BLM just happens to be Harry Reid's former senior advisor and Reid's son is the attorney who represents ENN which is the Chinese energy giant that wants to build the solar farm.

If anyone out there doesn't see that this is blatant government corruption at its finest, then you have your head in the sand.

From what I understand, BLM was going to allow an energy company come in and run fracking for natural gas. A ploy to run a local off for a huge payoff.

The United States gained the territory in 1848: Pre Bundy, Pre Nevada Statehood.

The General Land Office ( now known as BLM) formed in 1849 under the Dept. of Interior, Pre Bundy, Pre Nevada Statehood.

1862 Homestead act (revised several times w/ regards to size of parcels) giving those who have never taken up arms against the government 640 acres.

1864- Nevada Statehood

1880's-Bundy's show up.

Any guesses what document this is from? It's the Nevada State Constitution.

All political power is inherent in the people. Government is instituted for the protection, security and benefit of the people; and they have the right to alter or reform the same whenever the public good may require it. But the Paramount Allegiance of every citizen is due to the Federal Government in the exercise of all its Constitutional powers as the same have been or may be defined by the Supreme Court of the United States; and no power exists in the people of this or any other State of the Federal Union to dissolve their connection therewith or perform any act tending to impair, subvert, or resist the Supreme Authority of the government of the United States. The Constitution of the United States confers full power on the Federal Government to maintain and Perpetuate its existence, and whensoever any portion of the States, or people thereof attempt to secede from the Federal Union, or forcibly resist the Execution of its laws, the Federal Government may, by warrant of the Constitution, employ armed force in compelling obedience to its Authority.

Bundy has produced no valid law or specific facts raising a genuine issue of fact regarding federal ownership or management of public lands in Nevada.

Grazing on public land is a privilege, not a right.

A Chinese "green energy" company, this administration would not shoot people over a couple of oil/gas wells. They would however do it for a solar energy plant. If this administration was on good terms with the oil/gas industry don't you think the Keystone XXL would've happened by now?

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/04/13/is-harry-reid-involved-seven-answers-to-seven-questions-youre-probably-asking-right-now-about-the-nevada-rancher-situation/

Reid and his son, Rory, were both deeply involved in a deal with the Chinese-owned ENN Energy Group to build a $5 billion solar farm in Laughlin, Nevada. But that is roughly 177 miles away from Bundy’s 150-acre ranch in Bunkerville, Nev., and 213 miles from the federally owned Gold Butte area where Bundy ‘s cattle graze, according to Google Maps.

But despite the Reids’ best attempts to secure the land for ENN, and despite the Bureau of Land Management expressing concerns that “trespass cattle” could complicate plans to use land in the Gold Butte area for “offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development,” it was all in vain: The Chinese company eventually shelved the project in June 2013 when it failed to find a customer. The deal is over and the proposed construction will not happen.

No matter what side of the fence your on about this, the feds showed up to do what they always do. Have thier way. Armed citizens showed up. Feds ran away. I like it. Sends a message that we wont just lay down. And this is just a land grab and they encoutered this kind of resistance. Imagine if they try going after our way of life? Our guns? Our freedom? I think its a wakeup call to both sides.

To call the opposition "domestic terrorists" as Reid did today is an insult. Bill Ayers is a domestic terrorist, and a close friend to our President. The difference is huge and insulting.
