L Cazador Report post Posted February 7, 2016 Nightforce is the only way to go unless you can go the extra for a Schmitt and Bender or an Ior Valdada. If you're shooting 800-1000 yards nothing with less than 32 power on the high end. The other thing to consider is zero stop and at least a 56mm objective. And one last thing is don't cheat on the rings and base. Get a solid platform you can count on. Spend at least $200 on a set of rings and bases.

FB67 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 I would not count out Sightron III 6x24 I have one and a Vortex PST 6x24 and for me the Sightron glass is a cleaner picture. Here are some results at 1125 yards, the three larger splashes are from the 300 win. It took me 7 rounds to get on steel with a guy spotting for me but I was thrilled. One word of advice when your spotter csays your 3.5 MOA right adjust to the left not right, if not you will miss 7 MOA right😳

backcountry_brad Report post Posted February 12, 2016 It all depends on your budget. Nightforce is the best option for a scope by far if you have the money!
257 STW Report post Posted February 12, 2016 Vortex Viper HS LR 6-24x50 FFP XLR MOA for the money and the quality it's hard to beat same exact scope on my 3 goto rifles from 100 yards to a thousand yards it'll do the job
rageinthesage Report post Posted February 13, 2016 Since we still don't have a price range from the OP, hard to give an answer. Vortex Viper HS LR are good for the money, but nowhere near the Nightforce NXS, which is nowhere near the Kahles K624i, which is closer, but still not a Schmidt & Bender PMII 5-25x56, which is close but still not a Hensoldt. $800, $2200, $3000, $4500, $7000. Leaps and bounds difference in price, but the higher you get, the less noticeable differences to the masses. But the differences are definitely there if you spend a LOT of time behind the rifle. Wow, just looked at some of the scopes you listed. I thought NF was the king of the mountain... Shows how much I know
