If you want a similar experience, go to your favorite watering hole on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving or St Paddy's day. Order NA beverages, get a meal, watch the ensuing carnage. Dove opener in most spots is that scenario with guns.

We got the kids out tonight. They all did fantastic!!!

My spot is pretty far out so I don't often get people who come in when we are.there, and once they see someone at the tank they leave. Same if someone beats me too the tank, I leave.

 

This year was the first year I have ever had anyone just pull up and start hunting with us already there. I wasn't real happy to say the least. I kept my cool even though I was annoyed as heck. I am glad I did, I finally ran into the guy and he was very nice and we worked together to get some birds.

 

His name was Ron and he is a hunter safety instructor. Nice guy and just as bad a shot as the rest of us so we had a good time.

Here was those bird dogs Lance was talking about. My daughter didnt want to leave. "keep shooting birds"

 

Here was the others with me. We can here lance and his group tearing it up over on his side. But we did ok. Lots of hunters

Quite a few people out today. But still had fun. 15 legal birds and 16 Eurasians. My shooting was off a bit this morning, but I turned it on after a while when I figured out my leads.

 

My cousin brought his step son for his first ever Dove hunt. I think he shot a box and got 3 or 4 birds, so he is hooked.

 

 

There were quite a few kids out there today which is awesome to see. Both hunting and bird dogging.

 

I will say this, I picked up quite a few empty hulls that were not there on Thursday when we left.

It was slow today for us too. I didn't shoot horrible, but not good either. I brought down 7.5 total and probably about 20-25 for the whole group of 5 who went out today.

 

It was still better than nothing though!

 

I probably need to find a new spot or buy my way onto one of these dairies or feed lots.

The last couple of days has been crazy good Dove hunting! Unfortunately I didn't get any group dove pics. Yesterday I invited 12 friends out to my spot. Everyone had their limit by 8 and everyone had numerous eurasions down. Today we had 6 people and again everyone limited, but 2. It has been an EPIC season! I wasn't able to get my son out this morning so we're headed back out this afternoon so he can get his limit. I'll be back out tomorrow for one more day until I have to go back to work.

Took the family out this morning. Bub hit her 1st 4 birds in a row! Her and Mom slept in the 4Runner for the 1st hour. 4 limits and out of there by 9.
