Backcountry coffee

Recommended Posts

I decided a long time back not to use Starbucks products so I switched to an aeropress and brought my own home ground coffee backpacking or packing mules. It’s a lot more work and I would like to have some instant coffee packets again. Anyone know of an alternative company like one of these military startups that have instant??? Any good??? I’m a coffee snob so leave out the Folgers

Pour over filter cones work well and take very little time and zero cleanup.

Next you'll be ponying along a French Abondance cow for creamer.

My elk scouting and hunts are coming up so timely topic.  Thanks.

I'm a bit of a coffee snob too but cleaning up a french press while in the field uses too much water and is just nasty and not efficient.

Going to have to try the Cafe Bustelo instant.

I’ve had the Bustelo keurigs which are good...haven’t tried the instant though. I’ll give those a try next week on quick scouting trip with my buddy. I usually use Aeropress too but it does get a little messy.

My best is a pour over cone with coffee from home.
