Outdoorsman Carbon Tripod

That’s just crazy…. Heavier then my promaster (and 7x the cost) and likely not much better if at all. I’ll stand corrected if I’m wrong but I just don’t see how it would be much more stable.

A $600 tripod is too much of you ask me. Money is better spent on optics. You can’t reinvent the wheel in this department. You can definitely lighten your pack weight with tripods but for an ounce to money ratio I just don’t see the general public spending a mortgage payment.

They could be trying to compete with RRS as a premier shooting tripod with a hunter friendly center column for glassing. If it is rock solid, durable, and light, they have a market.

I wonder how durable they are

I don't know but I can buy 7 Manfrotto tripods for that price.

How do they come up with a 1000 year service life?  It reminds me of Rob on Ridiculousness pulling numbers out of his butt.  My last Slik tripod was fine and had nothing wrong with it but I got bored with it so I switched to a Promaster. A little more money and much better tripod. Not way more money and a little better.
