But why is it a good thing that the federal government owns the land Because as much as I hate the Govt. I hate Mike Lee's prostate pals more.
10Turkeys Report post Posted June 29 I read on another site that the Dem Senator from NM (Martin Heinrich, sp?) was instrumental in getting enough support to get the land grab pulled. I've never voted for a Dem, but I contacted him and thanked him for it. The politicians will have to find another way to drum up some funds for them to waste!
Red Rabbit Report post Posted June 29 The last half of Lee's statement sounds like it comes from Terminator "I'll be back"

This is why we can't relent, give in or forget. The Utards need to do their part and find a good candidate to primary him. Then all of the public land loving people need to put their money where their mouth is and make a contribution to his primary opponent. Eli Crane is also on my watch list to be replaced. Very disappointed in him.
AZBULLHUNTER Report post Posted June 29 Disappointed in Crane also when you read his statement on this. Mike Lee will be back. Trump supports this as well.

wish2hunt Report post Posted June 29 Everyone in Utah needs to remember what Lee has tried to do and not vote him in again!

Democrats wouldn’t vote for this bill because it is a Republican bill. They all hate Trump and conservative republicans ideas. The only thing in the world that could get me to vote for a democrat is a Republican wanting to take our public land. I might move to Utah just so I can vote against Mike Lee.
trphyhntr Report post Posted June 29 Democrats wouldn’t vote for the land sale because they wouldn’t want to give up government control of the land.

Do a little homework on the political affiliation of the many ranchers in this state who own 100 acres or less deeded that is contiguous with their 20k-50k acre 150 head Fed grazing lease and many of them shut us fellow conservative/ republicans down from accessing it. Then dig a little further and when you find out what said rancher pays per cow/calf pair per year to graze it, it will really piss you off

My neighbor has 1500 deeded acres and has the grazing lease for 12,000 acres of blm . The blm is mixed in with his deeded in some parts. If the blm land is land locked by his deeded you can’t access it but you can go anywhere on blm that you can access without crossing his private. As far as grazing cattle, as much as I like good steak and hamburgers I’m glad they can raise cattle on the blm.
